According to Sunday Times, the new wonder drug is soon to be launched in Europe.

Two Barbie dolls are sold every second, and soon we may see matching sales of the new “Barbie Drug,” now in its second phase of US clinical trials. Its scientific name is a much less exciting “Melatanon”, a synthetic drug originally formulated to heal skin cancer. Melatanon darkens the skin without the disadvantageous effects of being in the sun, and the Australian pharmaceutical firm Epi Tan has already received the global rights to develop the tanning components of it.
Meanwhile, others in the pharmaceutical arena are researching other benefits of Melatanon: decreased appetite and increased libido. Tan, Thin, and Titillated. What healthy consumer wouldn’t be, at the very least, a bit curious? And, more specifically, why is female sexuality now a central focus of this super drug? As a start, Melatanon addresses what Viagra doesn’t: the lack of sexual interest. Melatanon stimulates the hypothalamus which, in turn, stimulates the libido.
By the way, I have seen on various sites this wonder drug being called Melatonan and Melatanon II, but the correct name is Melatanon.
Palatin Technogies, a US biotech firm, purchased the patent to develop its Melatanon product, called PT-141 in year 2000, as an erectile enhancement drug in the form of a nasal spray. CEO at Palatin Technogies, Carl Spana, stated that there was a need to address female arousal dysfunction, further acknowledging that the issue also, by the way…had “a large market potential.” While PT-141 will target both women & men, it is seen specifically as an answer to lack of libido, a characteristic sexual dysfunction in women. Lab tests of female rodents show skyrocketing sexual arousal and receptiveness upon PT-141 administration.
So, there’s hope for an end to those “I‘m not in the mood” lines uttered mostly by women. The downside? According to Australian Pharma company Epi Tan, it will take another year before this new wonder drug will be on the market. So, for now, the Barbie in you will have to wait.
